Ägypten

Get ready for a picture overload...

Walking from our long-term parking spot to the terminal...
At the Denver International Airport it's a 10 min trip on a bus to the terminal!
We were really early, so I took a picture of just about everything.
But cool! How often do you see bicycles at an airport?
photoshoot

There is a garden on the Switzerland side of the airport; cherry, apple, und "Wunder" trees.
We parked on the French side, it's nearly half the price, which could be why there's no garden on the French side.
And when I say French, Switzerland side, I really mean it. There is a gate seperating the two.
This could be a picture of: Germany, France, or Switzerland. I'm not really sure which.
The Alps!

Africa!
Hallo, Simi! Look out the window or trade seats with me!
Simi has ear problems when the plane leaves, these help!
Eygpt, we're here!

View from our room.
Where we ate and in the back is where we "slid."
It was very empty!
I wanted to try... Maybe next time.
The first day we went to the Sea I ran to take a picture of the camels, little did I know they walked back and forth on the beach all day trying to sell camel rides.
Just in case we needed a little fresh air...
My dad taught me to be a very cautious traveller so the first night when we got there I was not too happy to hear that they were going to hold our passports overnight while the copier was being fixed.
The next day we were able to pick them up, but I was a little freaked out by the whole thing!
Speaking of passports, a man in a shop asked where we were from, "I said, USA." He said "Really? You're the first American I've ever met." Then he went on to tell me that I can use drugs or do other things that are against the law and when I show the police my American passport, it's all ok.
"It's like gold!"
Got it!
No roof! Which works just fine since there is never any precipitation!
WOW! That's embarrassing!
Typical Deutsch Frühstück, aber crazy way to eat!
 Skip-Bo!
The water was totally clear!
And then Simi made it cloudy!

Don't step on those!
 Underwater brain.
 I snorkled in that!

Skip-Bo during the halftime break of the football game.
 Don't drink the water!
We had our bands for only a week, but it looks like I had mine for a month...

EM 2012

Europe is crazy about their football/Fußball/soccer...

The Europameisterschaft was just starting when I was in Eygpt.
The Egyptians didn't care much about the games, but because the majority of the hotel guests come from countries playing in the EM, it was a big deal!
Cakes!
Public viewing!
The Englanders were the most into the game, not too many Germans were vactaioning that week.

German's are crazy about their Fußball, but also about their country.
Everything is schwarz, rot, gelb!
(black, red, yellow)

I went with a group of about 10 to the public viewing in Offenburg, there were probably a couple thousand people there. We had really great seats until people started standing in front of us.
Of course I had to get Curry Wurst!

Deutschland 2:1 gegen Dänemark
In Freiburg after Deutschland beat Griechenland in the Viertelfinale 4:2, people were driving through downtown honking and waving flags. It was incredible!

Go Deutschland!
